What Is UCL?

UCL (United Combat League) is a fictional Mixed Martial Arts promotion run on the World of Mixed Martial Arts simulation game available at GreyDogSoftware.com and using the real-world database Modern Warriors 7 created by Tap01. It is inspired by the Ultimate Fighting League: Season 1 diary by ZJ.

Starting in January 2010, a Press Statement is released by UFC President, Dana White, announcing that the UFC had been acquired by corporate giant, Cerulean, and that a press conference would be held the following day addressing the situation. Other statements from the likes of Strikeforce, Bellator and other major MMA promoters world-wide were released.

At the press conference, Dana White, The Fertitta Brothers, Scott Coker, Bjorn Rebney, Mark Cuban, Daisuke Sato, and many others sat on a long bench. Shane McMahon emerged from the curtain behind and took the stand. He told the world of his dream to create the greatest MMA company in history, and bring the world's best fighters together. With Cerulean's help, he has managed to do that.

McMahon announced a whole new concept. Bringing the world's MMA organisations together he would create a league in which 10 teams, composed of the 10 best fighters in the heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight, walterweight, lightweight and featherweight weight classes compete for a top prize. Every two weeks, live on PPV, one team would compete against an other on a six fight card and every team will face each other, with points deciding the eventual winners in each weight class, as well as for their team.

Stay tuned to find out who will compete in this innovative fighting league.
